Tolerability of the Nexplanon implant

The Nexplanon implant is generally well tolerated. The most commonly reported adverse effects include acne, breast pain or tenderness, headache, irregular bleeding, weight gain, and vaginal infection. Other common side effects associated with the use of the contraceptive implant are given in the table.
