NICE LARC Guidelines
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has produced guidelines on the use of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC), which includes progestogen-only contraceptive implants, progestogen-only contraceptive injections, the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system and the copper intrauterine device. According to these guidelines, NICE recommends that LARC should be offered to all women as part of their contraceptive choices.2,3
